Dr Nicola Jennings talks to Laura Cosendey, Assistant Curator of "Paul Gauguin The Other and I" at MASP (Museu de arte de São Paulo) about the exhibition which features some of his most iconic paintings from Polynesia and some of his most interesting self-portraits. They discuss Gauguin's exploration of ideas of otherness in a colonial context and in relation to the image he sought to construct about himself.
