support us
To support the Athena Art Foundation is to contribute to making pre-20th century art accessible to wider audiences all over the world. By helping us to build more interest and knowledge about this art, you will also be helping to ensure that the great art of the past continues to make us think, to educate us, and sometimes to delight us, as we grapple with the challenges of the future.
Each and every contribution makes a difference!

Here is what your contribution can help us to achieve:
£5/€5/$6 will help us to create one Instagram post, disseminating our content to tens of thousands of users. Our post about Homer Winslow’s ‘The Gulf Stream’, for example, reached 11,648 people!
£20/€20/$25 will help us to create one Instagram reel. Our reel about Casta Paintings in colonial Latin America reached nearly 9,000 users with a high engagement rate!
£50/€50/$60 will help us to commission an article for our webiste from one of our brilliant international contributors . One very popular piece was George Fountain’s exploration of Renaissance ideals of masculinity (you can still find it in the read section of our website).
£500/€500/$600 will allow us to produce one episode of our podcast, Athena Asks (covering the cost of research, recording and post-production). Our most successful episode so far featured fashion art historian Jonquil O’Reilly talking to Aoife Brady, curator of Italian and Spanish Art at the National Gallery of Ireland.
