I Pittore di Pompei features the masterpieces from what is considered the world’s largest gallery of ancient art – the Naples Archaeological Museum. These include some of the most stunning frescoes that embellished the ancient Roman houses of Pompeii. The exhibition includes more than 100 works that explore the city’s society in the 1st century A.D. and particularly its painters about whom little is known.
