Hats off to the newish Young V&A for this exhibition taking visitors of all ages through the ancient past to modern day. It sets out in particularl to explore ancient Egyptian creativity and how it continues to influence art, design and popular culture today. The captions are simplified so that the boat pictured above is simply described as “Wooden Funerary Boat (approx. 3000 years old).
