The virtual visit also offers a short Guided Tour led by Alejandro Vergara, one of the exhibition’s curators. Thanks to Gigapixel technology, seven paintings can be viewed at the maximum level of zoom, offering millimetric detail that exceeds what can be seen with the human eye. These works are: Venus and a Musician and Danaë and the Shower of Gold by Titian; The Garden of Love, Diana and Callisto and The Three Graces by Rubens; Venus and Adonis by Veronese; and The Spinners by Velázquez, which are in addition complemented by brief commentaries specially prepared by experts at the museum for this virtual visit explaining their symbolism, technique or the characters depicted.
