A city built on water, Venice has always been synonymous with colour. This course will explore the history of Venetian colour from the early glittering mosaics of Byzantine churches to the saturated palette used by great artists such as the Bellini family, Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto and that late flowerer of Venetian art Tiepolo.
