Exploring 5,000 years of art, design and culture, Epic Iran will shine a light on one of the greatest historic civilisations, its journey into the 21st century and its monumental artistic achievements. With 350 objects from collections around the world, it will have an “immersive design”, set it in a city with a gatehouse, gardens, palace and library. Read Elizabeth Fullerton’s article for ArtFund’s online magazine about the Sarikhani collection which owns the Shahnameh manuscript illustrated above and other objects in the exhibition.
